Biography

The works by Martine Parise are given life by human figures that populate prints, pvc, aluminium plates witch reflect light and keep it at the same time. It’s a dimension without place or time, where people drawn by black outlines move around on metal, aseptic impersonal surfaces. The perspective from above lets us see two-dimensional human physiognomies wherein an uninterrupted line suggests individualities with no content. Depersonalized metropolitan areas are the place of the intersection of random trajectories of atoms reduced to human well-dressed appearance of ectoplasm.
