Short biography of Giuseppe Teobaldelli Teo de Baldus, Macerata - Italy
Giuseppe Teobaldelli was born in 1949 and he works in Macerata.
He became Master of Art in 1967 and, since then, he carried out different activities: poems, comics, cartoons, paint and sculpture (this is main activity). He cooperates with the magazine 'Frigidaire', where he wrote and drew comics. This experience then transferred into paint and sculptures, mainly marble sculpture. Horror, eros and irony are the leitmotivs of his works, which have always been immediately comprehensible and concise, as his comics.
Teobaldelli took part in various events, in the "1° International Festival of Animated Film of Stuttgart" (1982), in "Znort! The first line of comics" (Colle Val d'Elsa, 1987 and Sassari, 1991) and in the collective painting exhibition "Apocalypse painting" (Mondo Bizzarro Gallery - Rome, 2005), at the event retrospective of the historical collaborators of "Frigolandia. Past and future of 'Arte Maivista'/'Art ever seen'" (Perugia, 2010) and the exhibition of art with erotic content "Bambola"/Doll" - Lineadarte Officina Creativa, Neaples, 2010.
Ha also took part in public readings of poems. He wrote and drew stories published by the magazine 'Frigidaire' in 1990-91. He's Frigidaire's poetic reporter.
