"The contrast between black and white, light and dark, positive and negative has always fascinated me, in painting as in life. I try to show, in contrast of colors, a light that is hope and care, that is the truth, and could lead to the state of bliss to which we all aspire. Through soft shapes, sharp colors and dense atmospheres I tell you my idea of spiritual elevation with images."
Sara Bellini was born in Prato on 11/07/1978. From her childhood she had strong interest in the visual arts and a good attitude in the design and use of colors. The interest becomes passion since she was 12 years old, when by chance, in an Art magazine , she discoverd the surrealism of Rene Magritte. Being a introspective and dreamer person, into indefite mystery of those works she sensed the chance to find an expressive language in tune with her deep sensations.
From 1993 to 1999 she attended the State Florence Art Institute , graphic design department. After graduation she attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, where she improved her technical abilities, experimenting the abstract and refining the use of oil paint. At that that time she started a vaste production of works, which will lead her to her own style recognizable in the light effect, in the veiled melancholy of subjects and the neat use of the color.
