Biography
I am a Painter, Sculptor and an Assemblage artist, I am a gleaner, I find my treasures in remnants of wood and metal, books, boxes, old paintings, toys all that have been abandoned are interesting to me. I continue to pick them up whenever I see one. I am still collecting them. I paint on them with great passion as they are transporters holding great energy and excitement for me... What is interesting is this idea of the personal found object rather than the simple random selection of the mundane or utilitarian. Recycling is the way to go for our materialistic civilization! I love the idea of incorporating our environment into the work an Eco Awareness I can say. There is beauty in everything and I put it together so that the viewer can see it. I think that’s what makes art compelling… it’s about showing something that is very human and vulnerable in all of us, and not having (too much) fear about exposing it.
My Unique mixed media works tells stories of Passion, Strength, Love, of Sense and Senselessness of Opaqueness and Transparency, Past, Present and Future ,of days gone by and days in contemplation and the days beyond and of perennial Hope.
