Biography
I was born in Italy and I had studied art ever since. After I graduated at the "Accademia di Belle Arti" I took a MA in Painting restoration and then a PG in Japanese and Korean art in London, where I actually live and work. I am now studying for a Research degree in Fine art and I work as a freelance tutor. I have participated to various exhibitions, had one solo exhibition in Germany and two in England and won few prizes. I have a particular interest in Japanese culture, I create and teach origami, Japanese paper dolls and paper screens. My artworks are inspired by my own nature and my relationship with the Earth and to spread emotions to the world. My style represent the harmony between a logical research, my personal feelings and instinctive actions. I try to reach peace to fulfill the emptiness and lack of values in the modern world. I use paper as a symbol of the universe and ink as a representation of life and movement. I also uses natural materials and elements such as cork and a red soil originated from the volcano "Etna" belonging to my roots in Sicily.
