Biography

I'm principally an art historian, writer, and critic, but I also draw and paint in my free time.

My research interests are in sculpture, both historical and contemporary, on which I've published widely, but I also write journalism on museums, the history of collecting and on the contemporary art market. I have written for most of the more significant international art market publications and continue to file news, comment and opinion pieces for a variety of websites and magazines.

In 2009, I founded The Sculpture Agency to promote contemporary sculpture.

I'm a member of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) and a contributing lecturer on the ARCA Masters Course in Art Crime Studies held each year in Amelia, Italy (Association for Research into Crimes Against Art).

I regularly write exhibition catalogue essays on sculpture and painting. Sample extracts from my published books and essays can be found on my website at The Sculpture Agency, or on my blog.
