Biography

Israel Alvarado Torres was born in Mexico City in 1974, his artistic development began at 8 years old at the initiation school's artistic INBA, where he learned music and currently has an electronic music project called X-17 which this year they released their first album "Electrocosmo" also participates in the group of ska and world beat "Stuka Society."
He published his first story "Gothic Images of a memory" in the compilation Hourglass (2000), after 6 years back to participate in the same issue with several of his stories.
Israel's concern for art is also evident in the photograph, which was linked to late twenties, he studied with artist Raúl Zolezzi, with photographer George Rodriguez Almanza and the center of the image of the museum of Light . He has participated several exhibitions in Mexico, Spain, Israel, USA, Argentina and Poland, his photograph "Reflection" was selected for the exhibition poster Gay Art World in Spain. Participated in the 2 nd meeting Mexico Youth 2009 at the University of Warsaw, Poland. He was selected in the 1st call and video photography festival "Art is a journey." He participated with his music project X17 in Mexican ambient album "Tonalpohualli 13". In 2011 participated in the 4 th meeting Mexico Young at the University of Valencia. He exhibited at the house of Culture Tulum "Art-Eco" in the House Frissac "Paradigm Zero" in the Salon de la Plastica Mexicana "Salon of Photography" in international collective of modern art at the Museum of the Americas , Miami, which is currently traveling to different cities of Argentina. In 2012 he participated in group exhibitions "Origin and Significance," "Landscapes of Mexico City," the individual "thresholds" at UVM, and exposure at the Teatro del Pueblo along with the sculptor Henry Walbey. His photographs and stories have been published in several magazines. Israel Alvarado is also a cultural promoter, supports emerging and established artists through Etching Gallery.
