The Theme of my Art

The general theme of my art is the relationship between men and nature. That this shows itself to be a (first of all) one-sided abusing and exploitative manner of the first against the latter, is and has always been the most inspiring momentum for my painting.
Oil tanker accidents, air pollution, large-scale animal husbandry or the destruction of the rainforest are just a few of the themes, that – within this scope and as consequences of the relation depicted above – are being reflected in my works. Via my paintings I want to make its lapse on the matter clear to the society and articulate my protest against the inconsiderate destruction and exploitation of nature, that is mostly subject to pure profit-mongering.
With my art I want to appeal to people specifically and make sensitive to the connections of man, nature, economy, consump-tion, war and religion, touch them, set them thinking and get them to reactions and actions, which are designed to pay much more heed to our ressources. I hope, my art will contribute to this.
