Biography
I was born in 1978 in Rovigo. I achieved the academic diploma in Painting in 2006 and in 2008 I specialize in Visual Arts and Performing Arts disciplines.
The image of my mother committed to solving crossword puzzles has been a constant in my daily life. Reinterpret the usability of this paper, using them as real subject of the work. In these sheets, it is also visually imprinted a part of what is my mother, showing the viewer through his handwriting: the writing style of the characters, as well as the hesitations in some responses indicate its potential culture and personality.
The volume of collected crossword is also a sign of the mother's time dedicated to them, a time that lives in the hours when I realize my works, "crossing" lives, passions and labors belonging to two distinct persons. An intricate duality that, even under the optical profile, appears in stark contrast of white and blacks square, in the tangle of geometric shapes that visually complete the conceptual board at the base of my work.
