Biography

Sara has exhibited her work locally, nationally and internationally.

Sara creates abstract paintings that reflect how we live and interact today, conveying with passion her own mood and views.

Sara has a new body of work, a series of abstract paintings entitled collectively ‘Impossible Sky’ which have been created by her observations of people, their differences, conflicts and endeavours for resolution.

Sara produces work that challenge both her and the viewer creatively and philosophically. Her paintings have been created, mainly through expressive mark making, rather than being directly representational.

Working from photographs she has taken or her own images and sketches, these snapshots of everyday life have been used as a starting point for her paintings which offer a form of escapism, a time to contemplate.

Sara graduated from Sunderland University in 2008 with a BA Hons in Fine Art, she moved to Belper and worked from her studio at Banks Mill in derby. Sara has worked on several projects and has exhibited her work widely.
