Biography
My name is Roberto Pinetti and I started my artistic research, formally, in 1980, when I graduated from the Art Institute of Parma. I then chose a not so obvious, the study of psychology. After graduating in "experimental psychology" (1986 - with a thesis about the emotional aspects related to the visual perception of advertising posters in relation to their context of affixing), I decided to specialize to become a psychotherapist (1993). The practice of psychotherapy and my own peculiar vision of psychology led me, subsequently, to a conception of art as essentially spiritual. In other words, as practice for the evolution of our own soul. I'm extremely uncomfortable in the context of contemporary visual art. I think betrays a materialistic vision and very obtuse of "knowledge". "Writing" accompanied me, since I was a child, as another important expressive quality.
