Biography

Roberto Pecoraro been born to Agrigento in 1979 has frequented, still little knowledge, different laboratories of painting among which that of Paquale Farruggia, artist of local landscapes and portraitist of ancient works.
It attends the academy of Belle arts in Palermo defending a thesis on the painting of Fausto Pirandello, working in the meantime as scenografo in various theatrical companies. Pirandello impassions him/it for the lumpy painting, sour and soaked with sun. That sun that the siciliantà of its earth mirrors, made of strong chromatic contrasts, of exploration of the nature, of ends and clippings of newspapers.
In 2004 it realizes for the common of Favara two monument-installations commemorative, one on the victims of the sea and one on the fallen ones in war. It inaugurates in 2007 the center of cultural promotion the house of Giufà site to Favara organizing different shows of contemporary art with local artists.
