Biography

I was born on the Eolian Island of Stromboli in 1981, and lived there until I was 14. A magical place, with a powerful energy, the island left a strong imprint of its wild nature on my soul and to this day, on my quotidian life.
This impression is so deep that it has become the object of and inspiration for my artistic research.
Today I live the city and all urban centres searching for the viewpoint that emphasizes the meetings and clashings between nature and the creations of man. This vision is also an embodiment of nature’s rebellion against the works of man, against the forms that man has “stolen” from nature herself.
The result of this research are images which fuse natural and artificial forms, underlining the slow eradication of the values of humanity – but it is also a simple exploration of linear and solid forms, at times thorny, but always absolutely “human” – and nearly always very distant from nature.
My academic path has closely followed my natural passion for art, and it has enabled me to continuously expand and deepen my vision thereof – an intrinsic need that is strictly related to my quotidian life.
