Biography
Nino Gambino was born in 1954 in Palermo(Italy) where he lives and works.
Since he was very young ha has always lived in a artists'family and he has developed a great passion for the sea which brought him first to devote himself to naval modelling. After some time trhis passion for the workmanship of the wood has brought him to apply the acquired techniques to the wooden trasia, trough the workmanship of the piallaccio(thin wood). The works realized with this tecnique have been exhibited in a personal expositions in 2000 at Palazzo delle Aquile, in Palermo, il frollows different personal expositions. Today his works are in the house of privates who have appreciated the virtuosity of his techniques of ancient origins that he has used again with a contemporary artistic language.
