Biography
Gianni Chiminazzo painting is above all a transcription of a mood: not an answer to an emotive urgency as in the expressionism, but because the lyric-figurative, spontaneous sensibility of the author owns a range of colours which go through the filter of the soul to decant on the canvas as orderly and lively "gardens". Chiminazzo gazes at the landscape with inner eyes. He has in his eyes the colour of the fields, the explosion of the spring, the hot summers, the light autumn wind, the syncopated harmony of the winter; his senses are impressed by nature, by the scent of the earth; the brilliance of the trees and he need to translate in material his sensations: not for homesick of remote times.
