Biography
Willi Lemke is a versatile artist: Reliefs, sculptures, is fitting metal-plastics, pastel-pictures, to his/its program collages, oil and acrylic-pictures. His/its over 40-year old show-activity speaks for itself.
The so-called "sand-pictures" - a Mischtechnik from acrylic-color and sand on canvas shows abstract compositions, that resemble organic landscapes through color-courses and color-sand-structures and place nature-processes graphically in scene.
So-called "Brenneisen" are the exit-materials of the metal-plastics. Through the cautery one of repetitive form from a metal-plate originates a conglomeration of equally-format-y elements, that are usually positioned in Reihung. The Brennstücke therefore carry already a harmony in itself. If the process adds the rusts on top of this that is planned consciously as well and the plastics another, here color-like attraction lends. This condition is stopped through corresponding treatment of the metal and been preserved.
