Biography

I paint in a detailed, fairly decorative style, stemming from a career as a muralist and specialist decorative painter. My interest lies in the interweaving and overlapping of things, both in a realistic way as pertains to botanical structure, and in a more abstract, suggestive way, as pertains to the interrelationships of people, lives and energy. Much of my work is botanical, and I paint portraits, but I am venturing more into the field of abstraction. I feel I have not yet solidified my ideas, and am still intuitively groping. I am always aware of a multiplicity of differing truths being simultaneously present in the order of things, the integration of which is one of the more difficult tasks an artist has to master.
