Biography
Marika Vicari was born in 1979 in Vicenza. She graduated with honours at the Academy of Fine Art in Venice and she finished postgraduate studies in Projection and Production of Visual Arts
at the Faculty of Design, IUAV, in Venice. She lives and works in Creazzo. She works as an artist and curator; realizing personal and group exhibitions in Italy, Austria, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, and USA. She is present in public and private collections and constantly in International Art Fairs. She is presented by: Gallery L’Occhio (IT), Kro Art Gallery (A), Gallery FO.VI (SI) and Gallery Krokus (SK). She collaborates also with Busato Graphic Art workshop in Vicenza. Marika Vicari works with installations of small works formed on wood beside works of great format on wood and paper. She paints with grafite forests and natural landscapes. The landscaped element introduces like the instrument - pretest adopted after along reflection distance on the potentialities of the pictorial image. She offers portions of landscape that, escaping from the territories of the city one, reveals the search of an equilibrium with the place, in the first place for herself.
