Biography

Virginia Lopez is a italian -based artist. She is graduated in History of Art (Oviedo University, Spain ) and Fine Arts (ABAF, Florence - Taik, Helsinki). Virginia Lopez's concept-generated practice is concerned with the temporary dimensions of the everyday life , memories and transitoriness. She works individually and collectively across installation, sculpture, painting, and photography. She manifests its concerns through the applied materials, since they are the original holders of time: wax as an organic and metamorphic material, which is constantly exposed to transformations, and the ancient method of photographic print are used to represent a reflection about art, time and memory.

Her paintings are now in private and public collections all around Europe.
