Biography
Tiziana La Piana was born in 1979 in Catania, the second city of Sicily, just under the
volcano Etna. She studied at L’Istituto d’Arte of Catania, specializing in photography
and graphic design. Since 2005 living between Holland and Sicily. After a career
as graphic designer, she has been making paintings in her atelier in Amsterdam
experimenting a kind of digital art, using the graphic wacom pen tablet and apple
computer, making colourful paintings with lines, figuring animals especially. She likes
the great opportunities that a computer offers a painter because of the millions
of colours to choose from, permitting the artist to experiment without any limits.
