Biography
Donato Frulio was born in 1987 in Torre del Greco, an ancient coastal city in the province of Naples located in the shadow of Vesuvius. This town is known worldwide as producer of coral and cameo jewelry.Since he was a child, Donato loved drawing and painting and was also fascinated by the cameo jewelry engraving technique, he so he spent his free time in his family craft workshop. He attended the artistic high school and specialized in restoration of coral and gemstones.In 2007 he attended the Art Academy in Naples, where he met many famous painters and artists, such as Orlan, Gilbert and George, etc. In 2014 he graduated with honours in “Painting and Visual Arts” and six month later, at the age of 27, he started his career as high school art teacher in Terni, a city in Northern Italy. The same year, he won with full marks a teaching nationwide contest. He is currently a high school teacher and he is also dedicating to painting, jewelry creations and exhibiting at international art contests and exhibitions.
