Biography
I love to reproduce shameless scenes, of puns, of everyday life. I don’t care about the apple on the table. The apple was once and it will be tomorrow the same. I want to show where we live. What is now our era. Fun nights, buzz, drugs, selfies, social networks, sex, perversion.. All this, however, with the light of the night, or the lights I got from Caravaggio’s influence. Few lights, soft, where the characters rise their physic shape from the darkness. Finally the play of the double meanings, because you can always understand it from the positions of the models. But this time I used the photography, also in that case I wanted to push myself over and over, learning how to reproduce the materials, the liquid, the glass, alcohol, the reflection, the shining hair, the juiciness of a tongue. Life brought me in Argentina and to the noches de joda, so the pure extreme fun, in that way I had a lot of occasions to find scenes to shoot for my works. Why Vice? I don’t think it’s required to explain it. It is the emblem of what we like to do. What we love, in a confused health. Why Cobalt? Because instead of putting a brown/black background like Caravaggio, the paintings have always a base of cobalt blue, cobalt purple, black and because the subjects are located in this dimension as a liquid in which they drawn, I call it “night”.
