Biography
Born in 1990, Nada Baraka lives and works in cairo as a visual artist, having graduated with a bachelors degree in visual art from the American University of Cairo, Baraka then persued a masters degree in Fine Art from Central Saint Martins, London. Baraka's paintings focus on the altered familiar, denying function, and presupposed purpose comes now to a more broad vision of identity. Her concepts derive from the body as a battlefield of gender representation loaded with deep and complex socio-political values.
