Biography
Alfonso Oliva (born in Cassino, Italy October 06 1983) is an Italian computational artist noted for his algorithmic driven digital works. Oliva lived the first 25 years of his life in Italy up until moving to New York in 2009 where he now lives and creates his works. He earned his Master with focus in Computational Design at Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey and is currently conducting a PhD titled: “Computing in the Arts: a computational approach to artistic design” with UNICAS in Italy. Oliva has been recognized as one of the top 10 under 40 in the USA for computational design by the CE Magazine and recently received the Italian Young Talent award from the Arkes Association in Italy.
