Biography

Douglas Cantor (b.Puerto Boyaca, Colombia, 1989) moved to London in 2010 where he studied at Camberwell College of Arts. He has lived and worked in Berlin Germany since 2016.
His work places most emphasis on the practice of painting and how he can stretch the age old medium to best articulate his concerns, whether it is cultural, symbolic or personal. His work has been exhibited in London in multiple shows including ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors’ at ‘Hoxton Arches’, ‘Young Contemporary Prize’ at ‘The Cello Factory’ and ‘Where is God Now?’ at the ‘Lightbox Museum’. In 2015 he participated in ‘24 Hour Project’ with other practitioners from Camberwell College of Arts. His work is also held in ‘The Ingram Collection of Modern British Art’.
