Biography
I spend a lot of time during my everyday life walking and waiting, and always with my camera. It is during these and other moments of everyday life where I look for my subject. It is these moments where I capitulate to Michel de Certeau's idea of being the poet of my own epic, where I brazen desire lines into and across the predesignated paths and structures for an individual in our society by making an imperfect copy of a select few degrees from my field of view. That is, I take photos as I walk and wait. I do so to document, to find beauty in shapes and colors, in people and objects, to find pain, or irony, to tell my own story, or someone elses; I find things through whose beauty I am inspired to try to give meaning to my story.
