Biografia

I was born in Genoa, 10th October 1977.
In 1988 I had my first experience with photography attending a course of Patrizia Lanna, well known photograph from Genoa city. In this course I've learnt the basis of photography and the dark room specialties, like development and print of pictures taken during the course's shooting session.
At the age of 17 I had my first professional experience with photography: I was working in a photographic studio in Valle d'Aosta, making sport photo sessions and studio portraits. This experience allowed me to strengthen my knowledge and it lasted 4 years.
In the subsequent years I was busy studying and working in fields totally different from photography: I had a master degree in Natural Science and I began to work as and Information Technology expert, while still developing my personal photographic projects and cooperation with private and public offices.
At Museo di S.Agostino in Genoa I've exposed some prints of Genoa's sea port workers, a project promoted by 36fotogramma photographic and cultural group. In cooperation with Genoa's University Education Science faculty I'm taking pictures of men that do works traditionally known as works for women and vice versa. The project is developed in 2 phases:
1. Collection of interviews of the people selected to be the subject of the photo session; this part is done by experts of the Anthropologic Science Department, Sociology section of Genoa's University.
2. Photo session, done by 36° Fotogramma group's photographers.

At the end of this study all pictures and interviews will be collected together to be exposed in a conference. A multimedia and interactive picture projection has been exposed at the Festival dell'eccellenza Femminile in November 2011.

I participated to a project called "Reporter", sponsored by Muvita foundation, Genoa Port Center and Contrasto association. This project allowed me to expose some pictures of Genoa sea port and its neighbor ("Porto Antico" and "Vicoli") in Festival della Scienza 2011 edition through a collective multimedia projection that testify the chaos that characterizes these zones of the city.
I won the award of best photographer of Una penisola di luce, 2011 edition, with my portfolio De la vache à la fontine: this project shows how is life in the high mountains for the people who work with the cows and their milk to produce the well known Valle d'Aosta's cheese "fontina". Their lives, their work and the right relationship between man and animals are the subjects of this portfolio.
The kind of photography i like most is the Reportage; i love to travel.
