From Water borns the soul
Water is one of the elements most closely related to the mankind, its history and its psychology. One element that, since the deepest past, has been considered magical and mysterious, linked to countless symbols of religious cults.
The town of Bellano has a natural link with the water, being situated on the lake coast: it is mirrored by its clear waters, which shares its beauty, its day by day and hour after hour changing aspect.
The water will be the means to undertake a journey through worlds that are otherwise difficult to reach and contemporary art will be our "ferryman".
From the water we were born and water has always been the main source of purification and consequently of rebirth. Diving into the water throws us in an extraordinary dimension where everything appears distorted and muffled. Simply different.
We will be in a dimension close to the imagination and dreams diminution, just where the artist draws impressive images or rich in symbolism to be able to communicate at the deepest level.
Sinking in these waters that are inside us, allows ourselves to pass through doors opening to the imaginative world. Such passage allow us to create an infinite number of creatures, thoughts, words: the art.
According to so many legends of the mysterious creatures inhabiting the ancient waters were nothing else than our inner fears. The same fears that are elsewhere now, taking different forms but caused by the mystery such as in the past the oceanic abyss were unknown. Our life has often been defined a river stream that inexorably flows without stopping and carrying us enriching experiences and new images. Well, the artist seems to be on the river bank, able to steal images and situation that staying in the midst of the waves can sense only superficially.
The inspiration for the artist is like water: a shapeless primordial substance which all forms can come from in infinite different possibilities.
The water is all that. It is able to create, purifying, dissolving, removing, materializing, giving life, healing, inspiring wisdom, giving immortality, it was the first mirror of the thinking man, the only mirror that gives us now the ability to see into our emotions.
We like water, it fascinates and inspires us because it is similar to us, to our vital energy, apparently always the same but always different drop by drop, when analyzed in depth. Water looks like the soul of the living creatures, without a beginning and never ended, it is always different and assumes various forms.
With this exhibition organized in Bellano we will start a journey on board of the "art boat" towards distant and mysterious places, inside us !
