Bob Dylan's Week 2013
"I'm walking "is a group exhibition organized by the Cultural Associations Heyart and Contemporary, will be held May 24th to 31st 2013 in various locations in the city of Florence and the Municipality of Signa, on the Bob Dylan's Week, event dedicated to the great American artist, now in its third edition.
The Project
The first verse of the song “Love Sick” by Bob Dylan says, "I am walking". The life of Dylan is an adventure for his extraordinary ability to get rid of his origin and to create another, the way is open to a continuous reinvention of his life.. He relived the great American myth, the American dream, rewriting it in an original way: it isn't the dream of settling down in another land, but to explore and feel like, without feeling any division between himself, his ethnicity and other cultures , America. This is his adventure.
The exhibition aims to pay homage to the career and the poetry of Bob Dylan through the exhibition of photographic works that address some of the major themes which is inspired the music of the great singer-songwriter.
In particular:
1. the journey;
2. the social justice;
3. the pacifism;
A special section of the exhibition will, instead, dedicated to photos of Bob Dylan, taken during his concerts and performances.
The Selection
The artists invited to participate in the selection for the exhibition "I'm walking "will present their work, or the project, related to the topics.
Regulation
Artists can participate in the call with photography and video.
Artists can participate in the selection by sending 3 images in one of the following categories:
Photo Printing with maximum size 70 x 70 cm. The work must be equipped with special hooks
Jpg digital format. The image must be accompanied by: shooting date, place, brief description
Video, with a duration of no more than five minutes
The images in "digital" will be mounted and projected in a loop during the days of the event, in one of the locations of Bob Dylan's Week.

Literary Cafe Murate (Fi)
Blue Room of the Municipality of Signa
Ibs bookshop Florence
Oblate Library (Fi)
Additional locations will be formalized in the next month.
The organization reserves the right to choose the most appropriate location for the selected works.
Responsibility
The artists have the responsability and the expense of packaging and transport of the works. The Association is not responsible in any way for any damage to the works during transport and exposure.
Fee
The participation fee for each artist is 30 euros.
The deadline for participation is May 14th, 2013.
The commission reserves the right to select the works, as to close early selections just reached a sufficient number of works for the event.
The selected artists will be contacted directly by the managers of the organization of Bob Dylan's Week.
