The event now in its third year, helps the world's poorest children through UNICEF and the same time keeps alive the memory of Roberta Smedili died at the age of 23 years for an aorta aneurysm.
After previous editions of the years 2009 and 2010 both Paladiana hosted at the City of Milazzo, and the proceeds go entirely to UNICEF to help children victims of child labor in Bolivia, and the children of Haiti for earthquake victims, this third edition will accepted at the Palazzo D'Amico, a prestigious seat of the Municipal Library, as a sign of great sensitivity by the city of Milazzo, in support of the objectives of the Association Roberta Smedili and UNICEF, as well as appreciation of the commitment shown by over a hundred artists from every part of Italy, who have already donated or promised to give them a painting, with the aim of collecting funds to support children in Darfur, further and now seriously affected by civil war and carnage that is producing mainly affects the most vulnerable.
Important now is that the group exhibition of artists who have generously made a gift of a painting they Roberta Smedili UNICEF through the Association, may join in the dialogue, the art world and the world of solidarity.
The exhibition this year is called UNICEF Arte © , aims to actively involve collectors, art lovers and individuals, through the purchase of a painting sold by donation, or with the symbolic level, even under that certain paintings on display will be sold to a third of their value.
This will allow the audience to the event, to win a catalog of works, certainly of great value, while all the proceeds will fund the project "Darfur - a forgotten tragedy" that the Provincial Committee of Messina UNICEF has adopted for its business in the years 2010 to 2011.
The event strongly supported by the Associazione Roberta Smedili and the Provincial Committee of UNICEF Messina, he sees so far the patronage of the Province of Messina, the City of Milazzo, UNICEF Italy, and the Mediterranea Club, besides active engagement institutions that represent the cultural world of the city, linked to the production and promotion of contemporary art.
We are confident, however, that going back and seeing the enthusiasm with which artists are proposed in this race of solidarity, other patrons, well over thick will be present along with our association in this wonderful race of true solidarity.
