The Board of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities has approved a project for the permanent collaboration between the University of Rome "La Sapienza", the Ministry of Heritage and Culture and the Municipality of Rome, for the organization, in conjunction with the 'Cultural Association Moviemachine Visual Arts Association "Wisdom in Motion", Eventa 04, a series of cultural events (exhibitions of ancient and contemporary art, conferences and training courses, film festivals, theater, poetry readings, concerts, dance performances, fashion shows, etc..) can be installed in prestigious historic buildings and monuments and important places of study in Rome (from the same University City at Palazzo Venezia, the National Museum of Castel Sant'Angelo to the Monumental Complex Museum Gallery the Augustinian, the National Central Library in the State Archive of the EUR and then at various sites pertaining to the Town Hall) and in other Italian cities such as Florence, Turin, Milan, etc.., according to a structured program that encourages innovative and the encounter between ancient and contemporary art of painting, music, cinema and literature.





Referring to these initiatives and their sharing spirit Moviemachine Visual Arts Association in collaboration with the Association "Wisdom in Motion", a reference point imperative for all the cultural activities of the students of "La Sapienza", in competition with Eventa 04, and with the publishing house Lithos plans for the biennium 2012-2013 a whole further series of cultural projects and exhibitions of the highest scientific, inside of which will be assigned a number of important international awards to some of the most significant artists of the moment. The first proposal on the agenda is the start of a series of monographs, thematic volumes and a General Directory of the Visual Arts, series directed by Sergio Rossi for the types of Lithos publishing house in Rome, which will be realized through a real census the current state of the art (understood in their full meaning, painting, graphics, sculpture and photography to video art) in Italy and in Europe. In parallel to this publishing project will also be put on a series of solo and group exhibitions, in the "Sapienza" and other venues to be found from time to time, just to compare with already established artists and intellectuals deserving young people to be valued, in the certainty that this meeting will be useful to each generation as the others.



Project shows:

9 November to 6 December 2012: Walls

Location: University "La Sapienza" Museo dei Gessi; Faculty of Arts Hall, Hall of the Great Hall of the Rectorate.

The exhibition by the coalition of 23 anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall not for a reenactment of the event but rather a reflection entrusted to figurative art in all its forms (painting, sculpture, photography), on 'urgent today than ever before, to oppose all those "Walls", physical or ideal, all the barriers that prevent or otherwise interfere with the free growth of the individual. Will be invited some of the most significant contemporary Masters (Calabria, Pizzi Cannella, Sanna, Modica, Patané, Fraddosio, Cardia); thirty artists whose profiles converge then in the 1st volume of Atlarte (see), and finally two young winners of a specially organized competition. In collaboration with Digilab and CINECA, the two centers of computerization and digital production and media of Wisdom, is also expected to produce an experimental documentary to be shown at the exhibition and to serve as a prototype for all subsequent appointments. During the exhibition will also be presented the first volume of Atlarte and meetings will be held between the selected artists and the visiting public. They also provide an appropriate program of films to be held at the ADISU and at least one theater or poetry reading organized by students
