AMONG THE MOST ANCIENT CITY OF EDUCATIONAL REALITY, the School of Art and Crafts of Rome distinguished themselves from the beginning to the qualification and teaching passion. At the first school, founded in 1871 and later named after Nicola Zabaglia, they were followed by three others, all born with the aim to meet the needs of the new society in transformation.
Painters, sculptors, art writers, painters, illustrators, architects, artisans united in the belief that education practice, enriched by a general artistic knowledge, would lead to the improvement of the quality of craftsmen / workers and that a good teaching, was the first step to become competitive internationally.
In addition to the founders remember masters such C.Mariani, D.Bruschi, C.Biseo, L.Seitz, L.Bazzani, G.Cellini, E.Ferrari, D.Cambellotti, Venturini Papari, the Ridolfi, passionate teachers during the decades contributed to the formation of distinguished students including Boccioni, Severini, Guidi, Mafai, Scipione, Fazzini, Ziveri and many others.
Nate from different sources, initially characterized by different specificities, schools have followed the demands of the contemporary world by updating and keeping alive the original spirit.
From the desire to appreciate this important tradition, he was born in 2015 ZAB ART, the first exhibition of teachers of Nicola Zabaglia School, organized thanks to the enthusiasm and the valuable availability Institute of St. Anthony in Portuguese Roma. The growing mutual respect, the success of participation and public, have allowed ZAB ART arriving now in its third edition, which proposes, in the gallery of Via of the Portuguese, in addition to works of teachers, a selection of works of students Ceramic, Mosaic, Plastic and Sculpture of Marble.
