Shorter days are the eerily beautiful harbingers of the Darkerkant. The Dark Art event will be held again this year on the 11th and 12th of October, aboard the Cap San Diego, in the Port of Hamburg. With fantastic dark art by international artists, irrational and macabre in the readings of the authors and music, of course, rather in minor, to celebrate the pleasure of the abysmal and the grotesque.
Darkerkant is open for new interpretations of Dark Art. To meet the aspect of a black - romantic current that is constantly searching for new impulses and developments. Starting from the middle of the 18th century with the first gothic novels, the confrontation with and the fascination of evil is still hotly topical today.
In addition to the performances, the Dark Art Event is a place for the encounter between audience and artists, not in podium discussions, but informal, in the tradition of a (black) romantic art salon.
