PRESS RELEASE

In the beautiful "portego" frescoed Guadagnini century Palazzo in the historic center of Bassano del Grappa, Bruna Lanza presents thirty works on canvas and board of the series "horizons" together with the sculptures in raku technique. Artist Bassano, exhibited for the first time in his hometown in a setting which yesterday hosted a past rich in art and history and which today is home to a thriving notary
Lanza, which moves in the wake of the informal research of those artists who, like Mark Rothko, have investigated the relationship between art and transcendence through the assignment of an absolute color, can inspire the pathos in his works of genuine inspiration that results in a dazzling palette, relive things. Apparently only his paintings may seem abstract if read as a criterion for use of the material in which the striking power has empirical references latent image by refusing, since it represents a subjugation to objective reality. However, it draws inspiration from the world of sense, especially the colors and structures of the landscape, allowing greater freedom to transform the truth, while respecting the perception of the relationship of form, even creating a play of lines and giving the stamp color .
And 'this a touch of poetic grace that exudes a vigor Bruna Lanza coloristic lived with passion lyric: a painting that speaks to the soul, feeds of color and light. All this beauty is the result of a virtuosity that is revealed only looking at the work of a brush that has managed to tame light and shadow and return form or by magnifying. None of this explains the mystery of the enchantment fades or initial. There is no artifice in his work, but a natural instinct and inspiration, her paintings are highly expressive, a true image of the force that gives an account of objective reality, lights and shadows that define the image in an impressive set lines and colors, the colors as the notes.
Primary colors in his paintings, the warm tints, tones selected from those observed in nature, such as green vegetation, blue sky and water, mixed with shades of gestural clarity, expressing the urgency, the vital flow the strength of a thought-logic, an original impulse. The traces are as thick textured narrative fragments that retain the context of the energy source, representing an allusion, a link to the elements of nature unspoiled.
Bruna Lanza does not record, but transforms the real data and through the recovery of an archetypal dimension, the primal forces of nature and training, his work resonates with emotional intensity position of spiritual connotations. With this in mind, the artist is devoted to sculpture, and even in this expressive language proves to have quality and communicability of great emotional weight. His sculptures exude great strength and show a perfect combination of simplicity of movement and gesture. Lanza reflects the tendency of his time, which is that of being above themselves, seeking his original individuality. Through the experiment, according to a figurative imagination knows no schedules, and a poetic truth and expressive, the artist lives within its eclecticism and in a variety of styles and contemporary. They give his art a unique face which is what the vitality and strength to be persuasive, but also changing. So his figures, whether painted or carved, emerge from a timeless and seem to come from the topos of memory and the world of ideas and full of symbolic values, are able to stimulate a new freedom of expression, towards a more immediate way to connect the forms to profound upheavals being. Moreover Picasso said that "colors, such as forms, follow the changes of emotions". (M.G.)
