Soon the opening of the first exhibition of art with the official logo of the Jubilee Year
At the opening of the Jubilee of Mercy, called by Pope Francis, which will begin on 8 December 2015, many homes and religious institutions will open their doors to prestigious art exhibitions focusing on the religious theme of the "Pieta". For this important occasion has been thought the important exhibition "Artists for the Jubilee", organized by the Roman society START, already engaged in the Venice Biennale in 2015, and curated by Dr. Maria Luciani.La survey, carried out with the collaboration of UCAI Rome and Cultural Association Foundation Omiccioli, will start from December 3 and will end on December 13, 2015, will take place in two locations: at the famous Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls, one of the four basilicas of the capital and the second largest basilica after that of St. Peter in the Vatican and at La Pigna in Palazzo Maffei Marescotti, previously established the Vicariate of Rome. The international event, with the official logo of the Jubilee Year, will be divided into three sections: painting, sculpture and photography and will coincide with the opening of the Holy Door, on 13 December, at the Papal Basilica of St. Paul outside the Mura.In this Holy Year, the exhibition will symbolize a dramatic color change, a new course where the shelter in Paradise will be championed by figurative works, abstract, informal aimed at new pictorial canons. The whole event will focus on finding a "sacred" (model) in which the beauty but also the purity will have a common reading. The works will be connoted mainly clear tones, the light will guide the Artist and the latter will put at the service of the divine message. Just as the sacred texts have been for centuries an inexhaustible source of art and beauty in the same way this exhibition will follow a paradigm that has as its source Primigenia the Mystery of the Death and Resurrection of Christ, His forgiveness, His mercy. The artists will present an Art Universal Current and close to Christian demands; reveal their souls, prove to be Sons of God in the art, they will testify in the jubilee year with white, silver, gold triumph of the divine message that we are all chiamati.La inauguration ceremony will be held on December 9, 2015 at 16.00 at the Basilica of St. Paul and at 18.00 at the Palazzo Maffei Marescotti-La Pigna.
