'The past is not in my hands' says Giorgia Valmorri.
A strong concept and as a moving sound on the road, which supports and is supported without possibility of dissolution, that came strongly also in her trasparent work. Artificial and elastic material, like the textures of silicone, traces of memory that we can’t detect: it’s urgent new desire, other point of way. Our eyes follow the desire of nomadic home ,that deftly weaves for us.
In Valmorri’s istallation, even the inclusion of organic materials altered by time, come without past feeling. Art work give as apresent to forge, logical and pragmatic attitude tied to do.
The approach free of the loss of those who make a constructive element is a summary of the artist's gaze, leaning forward and in the watchful care of every crevice.
The site-specific installations are born with inherent space they occupy, but at the same time can be transferred to a different place and take on a different meaning without losing their strength.
Disambigua Art Space in Florence, presents 'The past is not in my hands' by Giorgia Valmorri, solo show, and the first project made for a real place. Disambigua is also a web space, newborn.
The project that sees Valmorri interpreter will be divided into two distinct and trial phases, in two different cities: Florence and New York City.
Florence opens a time of reflection on the presence-absence of the contemporary art. A pearl 'vintage' closed to the new, custodian of wealth and passages of inestimable value, then presumable resources, poorly managed. A story that almost causes an excess of history, one might ask, do not ask.
New York city, will be the place of residence / research in which the artist will explore the great absence starting from the walls investigated in Florence. Walls real and mental traveled and transfer points / track for processing then another urban design, new plots and sound measurements of possible connections. Two cities comparing two prospective plans to cross or return in parallel on different floors. Everything visible at the end of the research, in a third neutral space and later.
Florence and an artist who very firmly declares the above: 'the past is not in my hands'. Sprone street and Passera square, that we choice because it resonates pest and prostitution, in the past. The walls will be those that host the break, a moment of conviviality, with and among the people. Among the people.
A sincere look of those who re-acting, with poetry. That to which the user will be asked to reflect, also actively following the instructions-invitations that the artist thought of as prospective work and link for further communication possibilities.
Disambigua ArtSpace - A space in motion. A mechanism based on urgency that creates liberated fabrics, between floating zones and accessible landscapes. Everything feeds on connecting territories, leading up to anomalies. Disambigua does not believe in clichés. It finds and records airy parallels, becoming a connection between formats that go beyond the concept of pre-determined shapes. It rejuvenates itself with every fleeting moment.
