Biennale di Arte Contemporanea di Salerno
Exhibitions, Italy, Salerno, 11 October 2014
The City of Salerno becomes, for 15 days, the Art Capital of the World, hosting the first event in the cultural and artistic heritage that includes the participation of about 360 artists, 500 works on display, an international jury and numerous events, debates and round tables.
With the Biennale of Contemporary Art, Salerno wants to give young people the hope and the vision of a future conscious knowledge and intercultural dialogue.
This review intends to entrust the task to the art and the power to convey important social messages, first of all to "scream" against gender violence, dedicating his award to an important character in the history of Salerno, Trotula de Roger, first woman doctor in the world, an exponent of the Salerno Medical School.
Great emphasis is accorded to environmental issues, through a special section dedicated to the art eco-friendly.
