The ab/arTe gallery
Exhibitions, Italy, Brescia, 14 September 2013
The ab/arTe gallery was set up by journalist, writer, art director, collector, art lover and event organiser Andrea Barretta, who led the way in the 1970s in a cultural project involving the visual arts, poetry and creative communication.
The gallery ab/arte is located in the heart of Brescia (Vicolo San Nicola 6), a few yards from the crowded shopping street Corso Martiri della Libertà, just round the corner from exclusive shops in Corso Palestro and Corso Zanardelli. An underground car park is available in nearby Piazza della Vittoria, and the railway station is a mere five-minute walk away. Ab/arTe is virtually adjacent to enchanting Piazzetta dell’Immacolata, which is overlooked by the bell tower and apse of the Church of San Francesco, one of Italy’s loveliest monastic churches.
