Contemporary art event organized by Studio A'87, after the earthquake in Umbria - Marche 1997 to sensitize members of the culture, civil and religious authorities to take action in the recovery of the church and the castle of San Giacomo di Spoleto. The church (XIII century) dedicated to St. James the Apostle, a figure since the Middle Ages as a stop on pilgrimages compostelliani. In the frescoes by Giovanni di Pietro tells a miraculous journey by the Holy Apostle, and in these short routes along the Flaminia, it is clear the reference to the ritual "path" of the pilgrims who come to this day in Santiago de Compostela, each within himself, looking for something ... Travelers on the Flaminia 8 - Arcadia: mente_corpo & landscape is the re-proposal of a trip through art and art began with the first edition in 1998, an invitation to reflect on the complex system of living in a civilized society, balance, and in quality adventure and peace, truth, beauty and art / art understood not as a fetish or commodity, but as a form of education. In the path of the Via Flaminia and the Nera Valley, there are places of prayer and tourism, unusual museums and exhibition spaces, with all schedules and rules: unknowns and setbacks of any trip that you add to the fast-paced scrolling of automobiles and transportation on the many roads of communication, without, however, altering the gentle beauty of nature around. Participate and collaborate with artists of different generations languages, different experiences and personal stories. The exhibited works (painting, sculpture, artist's books, poetry, installations, video, photography, architecture and design), and musical performances, subsequently documented with written records or photographs of travelers overtime, are aimed at the promotion of the entire territory Umbria.
