Ten potraits inspired by O. Sacks' stories The man who mistook his wife for a hat.
Way far from the simple anatomic rappresentation, the potraits try to return the emotional and expressive charge stuck on the faces of the patients, suffering from neurological problems.
A personal vision that tries to seek the fruit of an entire life in an instant, in a kaleidoscope of grimaces, looks and frames of mind tended to explore the multiple grotesque and bizzarre solutions, the same that can be found in some of the pathologies described by Sacks in his book.
The stylistic course goes from realism to abstractism, just like what happens to the mind of the character names the book, Professor P...... the man who mistook his wife for a hat.
The detail conveyed with spasmodic care, the precise position of a wrinkle, the tone of a shadow trace little by little the sign of the "mind on the face", leading to a fusion of wax faces and rigid geometrical lines lacking of natural and real sense, in the irreversable path from reason to dementia.
