TO ALL POTTERS AND ARTISTS IN THE WORLD:
We would like you all to ask for your artistic help to pursue the project “mattonella d’autore” (author’s tile). If you want, you can send us one/two pottery tile (20x20) realized by any technique or ceramic material, painted or handmade, bas or high relief.
These tiles (from all over the world – we hope) will be used to cover a wall outside Church S. Gregorio VII Papa al Gelsomino, near St. Peter’s Cathedral.
Our goal to celebrate the current year 2013 which, for the first time, we can greet two Popes together. Your works will remain to witness this important historical moment.
The whole wall, with its tiles, will be permanently clear for everyone and each artist will be appreciated all over the world, even because of the close proximity to ST. Peter’s Cathedral, a landmark for all pilgrims of the world.
Tile’s shipping will be up on artist’s charge placing of them will be on our organizations’ charge, instead.
We will send you a mail with a photo of the wall with your tile on it.
Please help us to realize this artistically wall, giving your, giving your help to our project and feeling part of it. You can also freely ask to all the artists you know, to join us, so that this wall could be realized with tiles from all over the world: it will be a unique work!
