Magenta, February 22, 2014 – From Saturday, March 1, 2014 the DAMarte gallery offers in its spaces the collective of the thirty art works shortlisted for their originality, expressiveness, technical innovation among more than 300 art works recorded at DAMprize 2014.
The DAMprize is promoted by the DAMarte gallery and is realized in partnership with the Department of Culture of the Province of Milan.
The DAMprize 2014 | contemporary art contest - 1st edition was born in support of contemporary languages, valuing to give them visibility and aimed at promoting and developing new Italian and foreigner artistic talents.
The thirty selected art works - ten in each category : Painting , Sculpture , Photography / Digital Art - will be exposed to the public from Saturday, March 1 to Friday, March 14, 2014 at the DAMarte gallery in Magenta , Via Manzoni 48 .
During the show , the works will be brought to the attention of the jury , composed by the president of the jury, Valerio Dehò (artistic director and professor at the Brera Academy) and Aron Demetz (sculptor), Carlo D ' Orta (photographer) , Pierluigi Meda ( painter ), Giovanni Sesia (photographer) , that shall select the three finalists for each category.
At the crowning of the event, on March 26, 2014 will be held the award ceremony of the finalists art works at the Foyer of Spazio Oberdan in Milan on the presence of the Assessor for Culture of the Province, Dr. Novo Umberto Maerna, and of the Jury of the DAMprize 2014. The exposure of the nine finalists will be open to the public at the foyer of Spazio Oberdan from 27 March to 6 April 2014 (following detailed press release for the event).
