Art Italy, a european tour that has brought the artists of “New Artemisia Gallery” gallery of modern and contemporary art from Bergamo (Italy) to London, to exhibit their work at the prestigious and famous London gallery "Hiring SW1 Gallery.
The collective exhibition consists in 20 artists who will be presenting to the London audience their work.
It has been said that all art has already been made and seen, this could be said about any other creation that mankind has accomplished over the centuries, but the techniques are the same.
This also applies to the arts, modified and revised; the emotions and the ability equally repetitive but always new and current. In this first decade of the new century have we witnessed a renewed artistic expression that brings new life to figurative art even if bound to the past.
In this exhibition that stems from a land that has been shaped by art in all its forms, we can see the new and old techniques, all reporting to current expressions of contemporary life. We find classical artworks besides innovative work realized using current technology (such as photography and digital media). Other
pieces are close to sculptural forms, and other still are oil paintings reminiscent of past centuries.
Soft pastels depicting the faces of exotic peoples, alongside acrylic depicting freedom and lightness of white horses on the run, seductive women, abstract forms that fill the canvas with colors that blend with each other, different styles and different artists.
This will be a small presentation of the genius and skill of our artists, including three non-Italians, but are connected to the gallery which has invited them thus enlarging their central idea of international feel.
Surely the London public will very much appreciate this exhibition, and thanking the "Hiring SW1 Gallery" for the opportunity granted to us, we hope to be back with other shows, with more and more old and New techniques of expression
