Abstract Expressionism is an alternative form of the traditional. The movement was born in New York in the forties and spread mainly among sign painters.
The works of abstract expressionism are easily recognizable in the most abstract expressionist painting on large canvases with great energy and speed, using big brushes or directly plunging the pure color on canvas. There are different interpretations of this trend, as many artists consider the expression in abstract form as a representation of violence, while others approach this technique in a more serene, or playing with the abstract expressionist painting pictures. Be noted that not all the works of this current are abstract or expressionist, but are reflected in current the spontaneity of the artist's relationship with the work and the privileged role of the unconscious in the creative process
