Forse cercavi: La rassegna presenta un interessante carrellata sul figurativismo attuale rappresentativa di quel vivace pluralismo stilistico e poetico che connota l'arte odierna. Si intende invece comune e costante la qualità pittorica dei lavori esposti, sostenuta da capacità e ricerca, così come accompagna ogni opera un responsabile adeguarsi alle regole del mestiere e , nello stesso tempo, un trasgredirle nel segno di nuovi equilibri. Nell'arte occidentale il nome “figura” richiama la forma esteriore delle cose e, in un secondo tempo, inizia a rimandare alla raffigurazione, la nostra cultura però gli affianca fin dall'antichità il significato verbale quale figura retorica. Ciò ci fa pensare allo sguardo e alla parola. E'come se la filosofia dovesse ad un certo punto far spazio ai processi liberatori dell'arte. “Immagine” è anch'essa legata alla rappresentazione e nondimeno all'idea. Dentro al circuito creativo l'uomo, partendo dalla realtà che lo circonda, amplia e fonda la sua conoscenza del mondo. Oggi spesso sentiamo disagio per un senso di appiattimento generale ma se proviamo a credere ancora alle coordinate creative, fondamento e chiave della nostra cultura, sguardo e parola, attivazione di sensi e di mente, allora l'assopimento figurativo lascia il posto, almeno in parte, alla potenza immaginifica che ci portiamo appresso.
