Water has no shape, you know. Or rather, it takes the form that is given to quote the famous words of Camilleri's novel of the same name.
And this is what Massimo does when Pironi model her objects to a form that its shape is not playing with the matter as if it were floating and fading.
What is the result of a careful study or a sudden inspiration is hard to say. Of course, what comes out is a multi-faceted world of color, material and suggestion. It does not find it hard to locate: Maximum Pironi was born in one of the most beautiful islands of Sicily, Marettimo. So the seascape is translated in his artistic production as a intimate language that conveys a particular freshness.
