Continuing the thematic choice, which began in September 2016, that investigates the link between humans and natural environment, for this edition, it was decided to deepen the analysis of the female sphere, inserted in a naturalistic, urban and / or abstract context.
These 15 authors - including 9 women – dealt with this theme in an original way, some for the first time, while others have been researching this subject for several years. Some have chosen the way of pure abstraction, other ones that of symbology, others again have taken themselves as models. Femininity, understood as an artistic argument, offers, in fact, a lot of reflection. Internal and external observers have declined the title of the exhibition, focusing on certain feminine features: from the most obvious and manifest to those perhaps less suspect and harder to describe.
The result is a very heterogeneous exhibition, both for styles and for how to represent the subject and the meaning it has for each of them. There are, therefore, those who propose conceptual and evocative artworks, who raises an object of gender symbolism, who has produced reportage in which he "steals" moments of life and who poses, creating complexes self-portraying.
This is how "NATURE OF WOMEN" is born: exhibition with 40 works of painting, photography, sculpture and digital graphics realized by Italian and International artists, inserted in the perfect setting of the Florence Dance Center, a female dance school with ten years of experience and in the project "Etoile Toy".
