"Other horizons"

The City of Misterbianco (CT) in the halls of the Galleria Civica d'Arte "Pippo Giuffrida" is pleased to present a solo exhibition of the painter Sebastiano Parasiliti entitled "Other horizons".
The event is organized by Carmela Zuccarello director of the gallery and will be accompanied by a catalog with texts by Alessandro Vanessi and Alessandro Celli.

After many years, the artist returns to exhibit in the Galleria Civica d'Arte "Pippo Giuffrida" Misterbianco, the city that gave birth to the artist in 1958. On display will be exhibited paintings executed between 2007 and 2014. The event was made possible thanks to the sponsorship of Misterbianco.

Before the themes of his research were immersed in the everyday urban landscapes of the suburbs, became gray and melancholy of a humanity that was only perceived. Now, I dare say that his gaze has shifted, simply, raising his eyes to heaven, or contemplating the immensity of the sea, watching the play of clouds on the landscape - marine or terrestrial - and assuming other horizons. The works essentially fall into two strands, which could be defined broadly to "Landscapes of the earth" and "Horizons". The exhibition will be inaugurated by Sebastiano Parasiliti February 7, 2015 at 18.00.
The artist will exhibit some forty oil paintings on canvas, on wood and paper covering a time span of about seven years.
