The New Gallery, it isn't only a gallery, was conceived and designed by comparison with other artists.
A new way of conceiving the space devoted to art. No more quotas for exhibitions or the exorbitant rates on the cost of the works!
Now, the new space in the historic center of Florence, you will give the opportunity to join a group of art's technicians and you will allow to compare yourself to other artists of different nationalities, to know our partners and to find new professional collaborations, to find support for your work, a place to grow your visibility through the knowledge of many professionals such as curators and collectors.
Unlike a normal gallery, in this new context, you will become part of a larger circuit and you will contribute in the life of the space.
The gallery will also host art/cultural events, conferences, fashion shows, presentations of new brands, exhibitions of fashion and design's companies, films, photography courses, graphic design, creative writing, special events. Heyart also promotes art mounting to external events.
The gallery will promotes through different channels each exhibition and event by:
Newspapers
Magazines
TV channels
web Sites
Each artist will get:
• 2 personal exhibition and 3/5 collective exhibition in the year
• Catalogs by different curators
• 1 work always presents in the gallery (in rotation)
• Free admission in workshops and courses
• 10% discount at the bookshop and bar
• Selection for a scholarship in an artist-in-residence (in Italy and abroad)
• Possibility to use the space to create their own work
The fee to use the services listed above is 100 euros per month for 12 month (€ 1,200).
Italian and foreign artists can participate regardless of age, sex or occupation.
Acceptances must be received by March 26th, 2011.
The outcome of the selection will be announced within April 2nd, 2011.
It will be a meeting with the selected artists, where you can view the exhibition space and confirm your participation by paying the first amount and the signing of the contract with one year validity. For artists who are unable to attend for meeting, they will be sent the technical details (floor plans with cubic metres, picture inner / outer) of the space by email.
Please send an artistic CV to participate in the selection and 5 pictures of your portfolio in medium or low resolution (jpg format). Attachments should not exceed 3 MB.
