Works by established artists are compared with those of young emerging.
On display were works by Abramovic, Accardi, Vaucher, Lai, Petyarre, Anderson, Beecroft and Majo.
Woman's Wonderful Works is the name of the new exhibition at the beautiful McTerme via Toti, former Lazzi. As is the formula for success already experienced by the municipal gallery, works by established artists are compared with those of young emerging Valdinievole, for a review of the women "deliberately staged away from March 8 - explains the minister Bruno Ialuna - an anniversary too subject to commercial uses and abuses of every kind. "
On the walls of McTerme features works by Marina Abramovic (among the most acclaimed in the world), the famous Carla Accardi, the British Gee Vaucher, the great Sardinian Maria Lai (born in 1919, hailed at the Whitney Museum in New York), of 'internationally renowned Australian Aboriginal Gloria Petyarre, the musician, painter and writer Laura Phillips Anderson, the Italian-American Vanessa Beecroft and the amazing Margaret Majo Zimbabwe.
Alongside them are the works of young Benedetta Bendinelli, Jenny D'Alessio, Eleanor Furno, Francesca Franconeri, Claudia Giraldi, Barbara Massaro and art photographers Riviera Mariotti and Virginia Meucci. All shows have resulted in significant and suggestive productions of their repertoire, for a review that will impress even the fans this time.
The exhibition will open Friday (16:30 to 19:30), Saturday and Sunday (10:30 to 12:30 and 16:30 to 19:30) until 13 May.
